IPCOM Group has successfully closed the acquisition of the German company Akustik+, based in Behringen (near Eisenach/Thüringen).
Akustik+ is specialized in room acoustics and is well renowned for its innovative and effective solutions for sound absorption. In this highly profitable business, the company has an annual turnover of 10 million € and employs 50 people.

Akustik+ has developed a unique perforation technology to turn wood based composite panels (MDF, chipboard,…) and fire protection panels into high end decorative solutions for room acoustics. These products find their way to both the project market and the private business. Applications include partition walls in offices, wall and ceiling systems in public and private buildings, furniture manufacturing, firesafe decorative panels for shipbuilding, etc.

Akustik+ has a very impressive reference list with customers all over the world. To give just one example: Apple’s new headquarters in Cupertino (USA) have been equipped with room acoustic solutions from Akustik+.

‘Joining the IPCOM Group will ensure a successful future for our company and our people. The support and resources of an international group will strengthen our organization and allow our company to further expand and innovate. Being part of the IPCOM Group will yield important cross-selling opportunities and will enable us to take our customer service and support to the next level’, says Adrian Eichhorn, former owner of Akustik+

‘The acquisition of Akustik+ is perfectly in line with IPCOM’s strategy to further expand our activities in noise control and acoustics. Based on the outstanding knowledge and know-how in the company, we are convinced that there is a huge potential in further developing this fast-growing business, not only in the countries where we are active already, but also worldwide’, says Bernard Vercaemst, CEO of IPCOM Group.
